Come along to June’s Business Plus event to hear about the range of FREE support on offer to Tyne and Wear’s third sector from a number of partners as part of the Big Lottery-funded Specialist Support Services project:
Funding Support
Funding Information North East (FINE) researches and disseminates information to frontline organisations and to funding advisors in the voluntary and community sector about relevant grant and non-grant funding. The Specialist Support Services project supports FINE to produce a fortnightly E-Bulletin, News You Can Use. This gives subscribers up to date details of funding opportunities and details of how and when to apply.
A First Class Career in the Voluntary and Community Sector
Free workforce development opportunities: accredited learning in volunteering, community development, management and management of volunteers, delivered by Education Business Connections and PNE Development.
Human Resources Support
Acas, the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service, are offering free support to third sector in Tyne and Wear. This includes the provision of training courses and one-to-one support, either face to face or via a dedicated helpline.
Developing Excellence in the Voluntary and Community Sector
As part of Specialist Support Services project, Sunderland CVS are responsible for the co-ordination and provision of relevant training opportunities for the third sector across Tyne and Wear.
Enterprising Charities
A programme of work delivered by Pentagon Partnership and SES (Sustainable Enterprise Strategies) which aims to encourage social enterprise and trading as a sustainable way to generate unrestricted income to complement other funding sources.
All partners will be on hand at the event to talk about the opportunities their part of the project offers your organisation, and the event will also be a great chance to network with third sector organisations from across Tyne and Wear. As usual, there will be a free lunch.
