Tender Brief : The Contracting Authority for the purpose of this Invitation to Tender is Newcastle Science Company Limited. Newcastle Science Company Limited is in this case acting on behalf of Centre West, a delivery partner organisation of the Newcastle Science City Community Engagement Project. Upon set up of this framework the contract will be managed by Centre West and all services will be utilised by Centre West. NSCL is seeking to create a panel of suppliers capable of providing event facilitation, explanation/communication and demonstrations to engage and inspire a diverse range of residents and communities (age, gender and ethnicity) with varying levels of knowledge and understanding of science. All community based events will focus upon and link to the three core themes of Newcastle Science City, Ageing and Health, Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and Sustainability. Innovative proposals to deliver the following services are invited: • Science demonstrations • “Have a go” practical sessions • Science explanation • Raising awareness of science • Provision of practical applications of science that provide immediate tangible benefits.
