SPONSORS’ DEN – Why Culture is Good for Business
Sponsored by the membership of The Sponsors Club for Arts & Business
With thanks to Newcastle University Business School
Join us and five business dragons to hear from four cultural organisations on why culture is good for business and their project is worthy of the dragon’s support.
Up for grabs is up to £5,000 from our business members. The Sponsors’ Dragons will be chaired by Julie Harrison, Partner, Ward Hadaway who is also Chair of The Sponsors Club for Arts & Business. The Dragons themselves will be Paddy Lewis, Director of Investment, UBS Wealth Management; Nigel Bellis Partner, Dickinson Dees; David Sims, Managing Director, NCJ Media and Helen Ager, Managing Partner, Crutes Law Firm.
The Arts organisations that will be put in front of the Dragons are Beamish, Tees Valley Dance, Network Artists (The Art Tour) and Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art. Come and watch them pitch their hearts out to beat the others to the £5,000 prize!
Our region’s cultural sector has had huge support from business but in the current climate there is a danger that short term thinking will cut that support. Find out why now is not the time to lose out on creativity and culture that can benefit your business.
The event is free to attend, please register at http://sponsorsden.eventbrite.com
