TRANSPORT BRIDGE CENTENARY - REMINISCENCE PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR OPPORTUNITY
Middlesbrough Council is currently seeking to award a contract for the following opportunity
REMINISCENCE PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR (Freelance)
Fee: £8,000 inclusive of expenses.
2011 is the centenary of the opening of the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge.
Middlesbrough Council are co-ordinating a programme of projects and activities to celebrate this landmark structure; a symbol for the area since it first opened in 1911.
We are seeking to contract a freelance individual or organisation who can bring project management knowledge, enthusiasm and drive to facilitate delivery of a Reminiscence Project. This project will seek to actively invite the public to contribute, conserve, enhance and interpret their personal memories, artifacts and records of the Transporter Bridge as part of a programme of exhibitions and workshops that celebrate their local heritage.
The ability to communicate and liaise with a range of key partners and project stakeholders to ensure their effective input is essential. Knowledge of professional standards, current research and ‘best practice’ in reminiscence research collections management and interpretation would be advantageous.
