Making It

Make it better, make it happen, make it work.

The Commissioning Sessions Part 4:

Advertiser Funded Programming, with Sally Quick (UKTV) and Claire Heys (Tiger Aspect)

Wednesday 23 February, 1.00pm - 4.00pm (registration from 12.45pm)

Northern Film & Media invites you to the fourth instalment in our series of commissioning events designed to connect North East talent with the industry’s key decision makers.

In the age of the PVR traditional models of advertiser-funded television seem increasingly unsustainable. At the same time, Ofcom’s recent relaxation of rules about product placement on British television has opened the way for advertisers to place their message in programmes rather than around them. From simple product placement, to more complex sponsorships and even the creation of entire brand-focused programmes, a whole new world of opportunities and challenges is opening up for content creators.

Hear from two leading experts in the field about this new landscape, learn about how they’ve seized its opportunities and overcome its hurdles, and arm yourself with the tools to compete and succeed in the ever-evolving world of television.

The sessions are specifically designed to offer the inside-track on all aspects of commissioning, including content preferences, pitching and budget considerations. Covering all genres, attendees will gain new business contacts and develop relationships with some of the most influential commissioning decision makers.

Thanks to the support of our funders this event is offered to you free of charge. However, places are strictly limited and will be allocated first come first served. Book early by via the 'Attend Event' link here to guarantee your place!
