Hello People! We are four very different organisations with lots in common -
We know the north east, it's people, quirks, loveliness and challenge. We're small and happy to be that way - it means we can move fast and get things done.
We want to help change the world and believe it’s possible to make profit even if you want to work on a good cause – making it_ expects to see thirty of its members start trading within two years.
Our lead organisation is...
The ouseburn trust - the original development trust for the Lower Ouseburn Valley who have been lead partners in the regeneration of the area for over 10 years. Set up as a charity in 1996 to secure a sustainable future for this unique part of Newcastle, the trust are now a community-owned and led social enterprise, providing services and owning and managing property for the benefit of the community. The partners are:
Conversations with Purpose (CWP) (CWP) - a North East based consultancy delivering entrepreneurship programmes, with a focus on designing mentoring services and training for enterprise agencies. Our work often benefits disadvantaged groups in society with the central aim of raising awareness of enterprise as a route into the labour market, and then developing the skills to translate business opportunities into reality. CWP works both at home and abroad, currently transferring best practice models into the Middle East region.

People into Enteprise or PiE(as we're more familiarly known) designs and delivers creative, innovative and action-based enterprise learning programmes. We believe passionately that enterprise has the potential to positively change lives and our mission is quite simple: to encourage people to recognise and make the most of the opportunities around them. We believe that if a positive attitude is allied to an understanding of what it means to be enterprising, people can make wonderful things happen. It's a message which seems to resonate because our programmes have become increasingly popular and people we work with regularly go on to do new and exciting things. Culture Works...creates opportunities for collaboration between people working or aspiring to work in the cultural sector in the north east. Our role is to broker and support collaboration to help organisations innovate, be more sustainable and make a bigger impact. We are particularly interested in projects which use
